Welcome to the MAPYRO website

MAPYRO is a Groupement de Recherche (GDR) structure created under the auspices of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and French Universities. Our goal is to unite the efforts of all French chemists in the field of polypyrrolic macrocycles. All fields are concerned, from the synthesis to the characterization and properties or reactivity.

The purposes of this website are information exchange, inventory of expertise, sharing news, posting job and internship opportunities, surveying recent publications in the field, conference announcements, and communication between all members.

The GDR is organized around three major research axis

  • Bioinspired Catalysis for Energy

(Coordinators: Zakaria Halime & Ally Aukauloo (Paris-Saclay))

  • Supramolecular Chemistry of Porphyrinic Assemblies

(Coordinators: Stéphanie Durot & Valérie Heitz (Strasbourg))

  • New Architectures/Synthetic Methodologies/Phototherapy

(Coordinators: Gabriel Canard (Marseille) & Vincent Sol (Limoges))

A Special Issue of the CR Chimie (open access) is dedicated to MAPYRO
